Mealtimes

Two hours on the thing that decides the mood of your whole day. For your helper, with seven others, practising — not sitting and listening.

Why helpers only in the room

Helpers change when they watch other helpers do it

Far more than when the mum asks again. And because nobody speaks honestly with their employer sitting beside them.

It's not about doing more. It's about setting things up differently.

What we actually work on

The child who won't eat

The bowl on the floor. The forty-five-minute dinner. The helper who keeps spooning it in because it's faster, and because nobody ever showed her another way.

  • 9:00 — Why she isn't hungry at dinner

Appetite is built across the whole day, not at the table — milk at ten, the biscuit from the doorman, crackers in the pram at three. The helper is the only one who sees all of it.

  • 9:20 — Building the plate

What a toddler actually needs, how much of it, and what to do with the food she refuses this week. We build real plates, not a chart.

  • 9:45 — Hands on: pouring, serving herself, clearing her own place

    Real jugs, real spills.

  • 10:30 — What to say instead

Don't say / say, practised out loud until it sounds natural.

  • 10:50 — One thing this week

Each helper picks the one thing she will set up this week, and leaves with it written down.

How it works

Two hours for her, forty minutes for you

  • Saturday, helpers only

Two hours of practice, not a lecture. Eight helpers in the room.

  • Tuesday parents' call

40 minutes on Zoom, Tuesday 1 December at 8:30pm, once the children are down. What she learned, what it should look like at your table, and the three things parents usually do that undo it.

  • Saturday evening note

A short message the same evening so you know what to look for.

  • One payment, one family

HK$900 covers your helper on the Saturday and you on the Tuesday.

Testimonials

Real Stories from Parents in Hong Kong

Yen testimonial image

Taking part in the toddler healthy eating course was a truly rewarding experience for me and my fellow mum friends. Ida's passion for child development shines through every session, and her Montessori-based strategies are practical and easy to implement at home. I left feeling confident and inspired to build healthy, enjoyable mealtime routines for my little one.

This course beautifully explores how to support babies in building a healthy relationship with food and a positive mealtime experience for both child and caregiver. The insights shared were thoughtful, practical, and easy to bring into everyday life. I feel genuinely inspired and excited to create many meaningful dining moments with my baby.

Thank you so much for taking Jenelyn's caregiving skills to the next level! I've already noticed a real improvement in how she engages with our child, and the changes have been wonderful to witness. It's not always an easy journey, but the results speak for themselves - we are truly grateful, and our home feels calmer.

Gabriella testimonial image

Our caregiver came back from the course excited, motivated, and full of fresh ideas. I'm already noticing a wonderful shift in her approach - from the language she uses to how she handles toddler moments with calm and patience. The reminder that children mirror the behaviour they see has resonated with our whole family.

Emma testimonial image

My auntie recently completed the pilot programme for 0-12 months, and we couldn't be more grateful for such a wonderful course. She came back with a wealth of ideas that we've already started putting into practice at home. As first-time parents, the detailed course notes were a brilliant bonus - it felt like we were learning right alongside her.

A happy parent testimonial image

After attending the course, our caregiver returned with a real understanding of how to raise an independent, calm toddler - and the difference has been remarkable. I've also had the pleasure of collaborating with Ida professionally on a workshop, and both experiences have been outstanding. The community she creates for caregivers to connect and grow is truly one of a kind.
